About the rolePhysical AI is one of the most consequential technical shifts happening right now, and the people closest to it - the engineers building autonomy stacks, the researchers pushing simulation and foundation models forward - are talking about it in real time on X, LinkedIn, and beyond. We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager to build Applied Intuition's leading presence in that conversation - showing up every day, and making sure we're the voice developers and engineers actually want to hear from. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. This person will work alongside our Social Media Marketing Manager, who owns content strategy and campaigns, with a focus on the daily engine that keeps our presence active, credible, and responsive to the technical audience specifically.
At Applied Intuition, you will:- Own daily publishing execution across our owned social channels (X, LinkedIn, and others) - you're the one hitting publish, every day, on a consistent cadence.
- Keep the social calendar, content queue, and asset trackers organized and up to date so nothing gets missed or delayed.
- Adapt approved content and messaging to fit each platform's voice, format, and best practices before it goes out.
- Coordinate with our Social Media Marketing Manager, writers, designers, and subject matter experts to keep the content pipeline moving on schedule.
- Be the person in the comments and the DMs - replying to questions, acknowledging feedback, and building real relationships with the developers, researchers, and technical talent who follow our work.
- Understand what resonates with engineering and developer audiences specifically, and tailor tone, timing, and substance accordingly.
- Pinpoint topic trends and conversations across social to ensure we're staying up to date and identifying whitespace opportunities.
- Moderate and monitor engagement across our owned social channels daily, making sure our technical community gets a timely, credible response.
- Identify and nurture relationships with recurring engaged followers and community champions over time.
- Track audience composition and engagement patterns closely, using social listening tools to understand who's engaging with us and how that shifts over time.
- Monitor conversations relevant to Applied Intuition and physical AI as they happen, using listening tools to flag or act on moments worth engaging with in real time.
- Keep a pulse on competitor and industry activity.
We're looking for someone who has:- 2-4 years of experience in community management or community-facing social roles, ideally supporting a technical, developer, or AI-focused audience
- A genuine, demonstrable understanding of the developer and engineering community
- Experience engaging directly with online communities (Reddit, X, Discord, LinkedIn, or similar) and comfort being the "voice" behind day-to-day replies and moderation
- Hands-on experience with social media listening or analytics tools, and comfort turning audience data into clear takeaways
- Strong execution instincts - reliable, consistent, and energized by daily hands-on work rather than only high-level strategy
- Strong writing skills and an ear for tone
Nice to have:- Experience supporting employer brand, talent, or recruiting-adjacent content.
- Familiarity with developer or open-source communities.
- Experience working at or marketing to a technical or engineering audience.
Don't meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
