Process HVAC Solutions, LLC is a systems automation provider for HVAC and mechanical systems in mission critical environments. We specialize in high tier level data centers and biotech/pharmaceutical facilities. Based in Canonsburg, PA, PHS is looking for a well-qualified person to join a growing company as a Site Manager.

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager (Foreman) specializing in BMS Controls to lead and supervise installation activities on critical data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-voltage controls installation, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a high-availability environment. Position is to ensure installation projects are completed safely, on-time, within budget, and to the required quality standards from installation to commissioning.

Primary Job Duties:
  • Supervise on-site installations of BMS control systems including panels, controllers, sensors, actuators, and wiring.
  • Interpret system controls drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, I/O schedules, and sequence of operation documents.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life safety trades to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and support installation activities including loop testing and calibrations.
  • Manage material deliveries, storage, and proper handling of control devices.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
  • Assign and supervise tasks for field engineers, ensuring productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including redline drawings, progress reports, and checkout documentation.
  • Assist commissioning engineers during system startup and functional testing.
  • Ensure punch list completion and support final project closeout and client handover.
  • Determine site workforce needs based on project schedule and scope.
  • Lead site team meetings and attend contractor meetings.
  • Act as the main point of onsite contact between the on-site customer, contractors and PHS team.
  • Manage installation schedule and adapt plans or schedules as needed to maintain workflow.
  • Direct subcontractors for control device installations and wiring
  • Handle any on-site issues, delays, and deficiencies with corrective actions.
  • Complete smaller scale Field Engineering tasks when available.
  • Work with project manager to accomplish project goals.
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job training where necessary.


Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ yrs proven experience as a Site Foreman or Supervisor in controls installation, preferably in mission-critical environments or data centers.
  • Knowledge of chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, boilers, and mechanical pumping systems
  • Willingness to apply for government security clearance up to Secret level.
  • Desire to travel and/or relocate to primary job areas for medium to long-term assignments.
  • AS (HVAC, MET, EET, etc.). Prefer a BS in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical). Experience can be considered in lieu of BS degree.
  • MEP/Construction experience and work with other trades in directing workflow of sub-contractors.
  • Will have working knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control valves.
  • Hands on experience with PLC, HMI and/or DDC systems; experience with Wonderware, Rockwell and DeltaV is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of networks, especially ethernet, Modbus and BACnet serial/TCP
  • Basic computer hardware troubleshooting and Microsoft OS and associated programs knowledge
  • Must have a strong technical aptitude and be able to work effectively with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present him/herself in a professional manner with clients, contractors and within PHS.
  • This role prioritizes local work when available; however, the ability and flexibility to travel extensively for out-of-town customer work (60% to 80%) is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
