Job Title:Services Staff Consultant - Simulation
Location:Owings Mills, MD
Employment Type:Full-time (Hybrid)*

Overview:
This position is responsibleto deliversimulation solutions to our pipeline customers in the Oil & Gas industry. The engineer will work as part of larger project teams and complete assignments to deliver the final solution to meet the needs of the customer. This work will include design documentation, implementation, testing, customer trainingand site commissioning.
Responsibilities:
Design, configuration, and implementation of pipeline simulation solutions using AVEVA’s Pipeline Integrity Monitor modeling application.
Development of project documentation including the Functional Design Specification, Acceptance Test Procedures, and custom user documentation.
Participate as a member of a larger team in project implementation and delivery to customers.
Work directly with customers to understandcustomer’sneeds and requirements.
Travel to client sites will berequired(approximately 25%).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Petroleum Engineering.
Completed coursework in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
Basic understanding of project lifecycle and execution methodologies
0-3 years of experience in oil and gas pipeline transportation or related industry
Basic experience or familiarity with software applications and/or modeling tools
Desired skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly convey technical information
Effective team player with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary or cross-functional teams
Logical and analytical problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to take ownership of assigned work
Demonstrated willingness to learn
Confident presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in programming, such as C++ or Fortran
Knowledge of basic computer networking concepts
Proficiency in a secondary language is a plus
Familiarity with pipeline simulation software or related engineering tools
