  • Set technical direction for UI tooling and mentor other programmers
  • Collaborate across disciplines to identify improvement areas, gather feedback, and design solutions for developer needs
  • Profile and resolve performance and memory issues in UI systems
  • Work with Epic's internal teams and Unreal Engine licensees to help them solve UI challenges
What we're looking for
  • Strong tools-programming background with experience building tools that improve development workflows in games or other fields
  • Deep expertise in the UI domain (UI frameworks, runtime UI engines, and editor/WYSIWYG tooling)
  • Excellent C++ skills and experience working in a large codebase
  • Some hands-on exposure to AI-powered or agentic workflows, whether through work, courses, or personal projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus
  • Experience with Slate and/or UMG is a plus
