Position Description: Join CGI and take on a key role in international technology projects.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead with strong Java development expertise and the ability to provide technical leadership to teams working in an international environment.
You will act as a key liaison between teams in France and the Americas, ensuring alignment between the global technology strategy, architectural direction, and regional business needs.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Your Role
As a Technical Lead, you will combine technical expertise, leadership, and international collaboration. Your responsibilities will include:
* Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions based on Java and Spring Boot;
* Drive technical decisions and actively contribute to application architecture;
* Design and evolve REST APIs and microservices architectures;
* Mentor and support developers while promoting best practices and knowledge sharing;
* Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing strategies, and adherence to development standards;
* Optimize the performance, security, maintainability, and scalability of solutions;
* Collaborate with architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technology solutions;
* Coordinate development activities across different teams and regions;
* Contribute to application and production support activities;
* Foster innovation and continuous improvement in development practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Your Profile
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
* Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant software development experience;
* Bilingualism in French and English is required.
We are looking for a senior professional with strong expertise in:
* Java
* Spring Boot / Spring Framework
* REST APIs and microservices
* SQL
* Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
* CI/CD - Jenkins, GitLab CI
* Git and source control best practices
* Application architecture and solution design
* Technical leadership and development team mentorship
You are also recognized for your ability to make sound technical decisions, influence technology direction, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
* Experience with Microsoft Azure;
* Experience with application and production support;
* Experience working with international or distributed teams;
* Experience coordinating teams across multiple regions.
*Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required, as the successful candidate will regularly collaborate with colleagues and partners located in the United States and other regions.
CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The determination of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are based on the specific circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is $70,000 to $135,000. This position is currently open.
