Responsibilities
The Senior Technical Analyst connects business needs to technical delivery within the Technology Solutions group at NISA. You will define requirements, strengthen quality through testing and root cause analysis, support build and release pipelines, and help the development team prioritize work. You will partner closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, scrum masters and business users, work independently with minimal guidance, and apply modern tools such as large language models (LLMs) and agentic workflows to improve how the team works.
- Independently define and refine detailed technical requirements in partnership with business analysts, other Technical Analysts, developers, and product owners
- Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues, delivery delays, and recurring defects, distinguishing root cause from symptom and proposing durable prevention rather than one-time fixes with minimal guidance
- Familiarity with LLM’s, use of agentic workflows, and understanding the purpose of using different models
- Collaborate with business analysts and other technical analysts, developers, and the business users to develop test plans, and coordinate user acceptance testing with business users
- Create or contribute to automated testing — unit and functional coverage, regression maintenance, and integration of tests into build pipelines
- Support IT partners in the creation and maintenance of build and release pipelines as well as environment requests
- Coordinate and communicate production deployments as needed
- Support projects for the Technology Solutions department, inter-workstream, cross-workstream, or enterprise-wide
- Assist with database updates and query construction
- Assist Software Engineering and Application Support teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Provide administrative support for in-house and third-party applications
- Work with, and take direction from, the product owners as well as partner with the scrum master to help prioritize work items, maintain backlog hygiene, and hold a clear definition of done for the developers
- Visualize work in progress, track flow, and escalate blockers so that priorities can be adjusted with full information
- Provide input into workstream roadmap planning and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Partner with business stakeholders to deepen understanding of processes and products and serve as the key point of contact to ensure alignment between business needs and solution outcomes
Qualifications
- BS/BA in information technology, information systems or a related field or relevant work experience required
- 3-5 years of systems analysis experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to separate root cause from symptom

- Proficient at documenting technical work in a repeatable, version-controlled way
- General knowledge and experience working with LLM’s such as CoPilot and Claude
- Curiosity and initiative to source work independently and in alignment with team needs
- Desire and ability to contribute to, or establish new, quality processes and practices
- Familiarity with Terraform, updating in YAML, and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- General familiarity with C#, Typescript, and Java languages when navigating repository code
- Ability to script updates as required in either Python, SQL, or VBA
