Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager - Tax Provision and Foreign Compliance to join our tax team in San Jose. Reporting to the Tax Director, this role will be heavily involved in the preparation and management of the Company's global income tax provision process under ASC 740, foreign compliance activities, and technical tax matters.
The ideal candidate is comfortable preparing detailed tax provision workpapers, managing recurring deadlines, coordinating with internal and external parties, and improving processes in a growing global tax environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare significant portions of the quarterly and annual global tax provision, including current tax expense, deferred tax expense, effective tax rate analysis, tax account reconciliations, uncertain tax positions (FIN48), and valuation allowance supporting workpapers.
  • Prepare and support tax-related financial statement disclosures, including the effective tax rate reconciliation, deferred tax disclosures, uncertain tax position disclosures, valuation allowance disclosures, and income tax footnote support.
  • Manage the tax provision calendar and coordinate with Accounting, FP&A, regional finance teams, and external advisors to support timely and accurate reporting.
  • Review foreign tax provision packages prepared by regional teams, external advisors, or other contributors to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Partner with Accounting and FP&A to understand book results, forecasts, non-recurring transactions, legal entity activity, and other items that may impact the tax provision.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, supporting documentation, and SOX-compliant processes related to the global tax provision.
  • Coordinate with local finance teams and external service providers, review foreign income tax returns, and prepare return-to-provision analyses for foreign entities to ensure compliance results are appropriately reflected in the global tax provision.
  • Support Pillar Two / GLoBE implementation and reporting, including data gathering, jurisdictional analysis, safe harbor assessments, workpaper preparation, and coordination with external advisors.
  • Support U.S. international compliance filings in partnership with the U.S. Tax Manager, including preparation and review of relevant forms, workpapers, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate with transfer pricing team to ensure alignment between tax provision, compliance, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Track tax risk areas and support appropriate reporting, controls, and escalation to the Tax Director.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate tax provision, compliance, and reporting processes, enhance data collection processes across global entities to support timely and accurate tax provision and compliance reporting.


Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of progressive tax experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a combination of both.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred; MST or advanced tax degree a plus.
  • Big Four experience or a combination of Big Four and multinational corporate tax experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep technical knowledge of ASC 740, U.S. GAAP, income tax accounting, and global tax provision processes.
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and a high standard for quality.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with Oracle system and OneSource software.


Pay Range:
P70-USA-1 :$134,750.00 - $192,500.00
