Standard Job DescriptionThe WorkThe Senior Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to design, integrate/test and conduct data analysis to assess system performance of the Command, Control and Communications (C3) systems. The C3 systems perform multiple critical functions such as radar and sensor management, track filtering, track management including correlation/association, control of multiple communication links, threat evaluation and prioritization, and command of weapon systems for target engagement or assignment.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of systems engineering principles, algorithm development, and data analysis. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a U. S. DoD security clearance.
Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• Experience performing system and data analysis
• Functional knowledge of combat systems
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: architecture, requirements development, trade studies, algorithm design, or modeling and simulation.
• Proven ability to apply C++, MATLAB, or Python as analytical tools for modeling, simulation, and algorithm prototyping.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
Desired Skills• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Command and Control systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation
• Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in the defense industry or related field
• Strong Systems Engineering Background
