Some of Summit's most important initiatives don't belong to a single team - they shape how the company grows, operates, and delivers for our customers. Successfully leading those efforts requires more than strong program management. It requires influence, sound judgment, and the ability to bring people together around a common goal.
As a
Senior Strategic Program Manager, you'll lead Summit's highest-impact, cross-functional initiatives, partnering closely with executive leadership to translate strategy into measurable business results. You'll help leaders navigate competing priorities, organizational complexity, and change while creating the structure and alignment needed to move critical initiatives forward.
Success in this role isn't measured by how many initiatives you lead. It's measured by your ability to help the organization execute better, make informed decisions, and deliver lasting business value.
What You'll Do:- Lead Summit's most complex, high-impact strategic initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business strategy and organizational priorities.
- Partner with executive leadership to define initiative objectives, establish governance, evaluate tradeoffs, and develop execution strategies that balance business value, organizational capacity, and risk.
- Develop integrated execution strategies that coordinate multiple workstreams, organizational dependencies, milestones, resource needs, and executive decision points.
- Facilitate executive steering committees, governance meetings, and strategic planning discussions that enable timely, informed decision-making.
- Anticipate organizational risks, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies, proactively identifying solutions before they impact execution.
- Guide business leaders through organizational change by helping teams prepare for, adopt, and sustain new processes, operating models, and strategic initiatives.
- Establish and continuously improve program governance, delivery standards, and best practices that strengthen how Summit executes cross-functional work.
- Measure initiative outcomes, benefit realization, and organizational impact, ensuring strategic investments deliver meaningful business results.
- Coach, mentor, and influence program teams and business leaders on effective program management practices without direct authority.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by bringing clarity, structure, and practical recommendations to complex business challenges.
What You'll Deliver:- Successful execution of Summit's highest-priority strategic initiatives.
- Greater organizational alignment across executive leadership, business functions, and enterprise priorities.
- Governance practices that improve accountability, transparency, and decision-making across complex initiatives.
- Early visibility into organizational risks, dependencies, and resource constraints before they become barriers to execution.
- Measurable business outcomes that support operational excellence, strategic growth, and long-term scalability.
- Continuous improvements that strengthen Summit's ability to consistently execute enterprise initiatives.
You'll Thrive in This Role If You: - Have extensive experience leading enterprise programs, organizational transformation, or company-wide strategic initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with executives and influence decisions through credibility, collaboration, and sound judgment.
- Navigate ambiguity with confidence and help others find clarity in complex situations.
- See connections across teams, initiatives, and business priorities that others may overlook.
- Balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution and strong follow-through.
- Challenge assumptions respectfully, facilitate productive conversations, and help leaders make informed decisions when priorities compete.
- Enjoy improving not only what the business delivers-but how the business works together.
- Believe successful initiatives aren't driven by process-they're driven by alignment, trust, and shared ownership.
Bonus Points:- Experience leading enterprise transformation, acquisition integration, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience establishing program governance, portfolio management practices, or enterprise delivery frameworks.
- Experience supporting executive operating cadences, strategic planning, or enterprise portfolio management.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
- Familiarity with managed services, cloud infrastructure, enterprise technology, or cybersecurity environments.
- PMP, PgMP, Prosci, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable professional certifications.
