Req ID: 395574
We are currently seeking a Technical Architect to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Primary - required on day one:
Oracle analytics administration: Hands-on production support for OBI and OAS, including service control, configuration, repositories, catalogs, agents, scheduled jobs, caches, usage tracking, report execution, log analysis, and recovery from platform outages.
Oracle E-Business Suite support: Working knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture and its integration with analytics and reporting platforms, including application tiers, concurrent processing, database connectivity, responsibilities and access, interfaces, scheduled processes, output delivery, and troubleshooting of EBS-dependent reporting or integration failures.
Oracle middleware and operating platform: Oracle Fusion Middleware and WebLogic administration; Linux administration for middleware workloads; Node Manager and managed-server support; Oracle CPU, WebLogic, OAS, and JDK patching; certificates, TLS, keystores, and Java truststores; RCU schemas and service-account credential dependencies; database data sources, connection pools, drivers, ports, and network aliases.
Production operations: Incident triage, service restoration, monitoring, log correlation, performance troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, change validation, rollback awareness, and coordination with database, Linux, network, identity, security, and application teams.
Why :
This requirement reflects the technical scope of the position, including OBI platform administration, patching, certificates, RCU credentials, authentication, repository deployment, Linux-hosted analytics, service outages, report performance, and environment decommissioning. A candidate must already be able to independently support Oracle analytics and its middleware, Linux, database, security, and Oracle EBS integration dependencies. These interconnected skills are difficult to develop quickly and are necessary to diagnose production issues without relying on step-by-step guidance.
Preferred - strong differentiators:
End-to-end OAS installation and configuration on Linux; OBI-to-OAS migration planning and execution; WebLogic domain creation or major upgrades; BAR, RPD, catalog, and repository migration; advanced report and semantic-model troubleshooting; Oracle EBS reporting architecture and integrations; BI Publisher administration; SSO, LDAP, and modern identity-provider integration; performance tuning across analytics, middleware, database, and operating-system layers; disaster-recovery design and testing; automation of patching, health checks, service control, deployments, and credential rotation; and ownership of complex Oracle Support service requests.
Why :
These capabilities reduce ramp-up time for modernization, migration, major upgrades, complex performance issues, and cross-platform Oracle support. They distinguish a candidate who can maintain the current environment from one who can also lead OBI, OAS, and Oracle EBS improvements. A strong candidate may not have every differentiator, but should bring depth in several of them.
