Senior Site Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of large-scale multi-family residential projects. This role is ideal for a construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional quality, and is passionate about building high-performing teams.
As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest standards of workmanship. Working closely with Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, you will play a critical role in bringing some of the region's most significant residential developments to life.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSite Leadership & Construction Execution- Lead all day-to-day construction activities on multi-family residential projects.
- Coordinate and direct site staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and as-built records.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable site culture.
Planning & Scheduling- Develop and manage short-term and long-range construction schedules, including six-week look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate site logistics, workforce planning, material deliveries, and trade sequencing.
- Identify and proactively resolve issues that may impact project timelines, quality, or budgets.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Safety & Quality- Champion Wesgroup's commitment to safety and ensure compliance with all WorkSafeBC regulations and site-specific safety programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and incident investigations.
- Lead quality control processes and oversee deficiency management throughout construction.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds company, consultant, and regulatory standards.
Team & Stakeholder Management- Mentor, coach, and develop site personnel while fostering strong working relationships with trades and subcontractors.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, and municipal authorities.
- Represent Wesgroup professionally in all project meetings and site interactions.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Cost & Project Controls- Support project budget management through effective planning and resource utilization.
- Monitor site productivity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Manage material procurement and equipment requirements in alignment with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate reporting on site progress, safety, and project performance.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEWe're looking for an accomplished construction professional who brings:- 5-8+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on multi-family residential construction projects, including concrete high-rise developments.
- A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodology, scheduling, site logistics, and project execution.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and drive project outcomes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Experience with Autodesk Build and Bluebeam is considered a strong asset.
EXPECTED COMPENSATION- Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $180,000- $210,000 per annum. Actual offered salary will depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
