What this job involves:

As a Secured Environments Senior Project Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for overall project management delivery on account, specializing in secured environment projects meeting ICD-705/TEMPEST requirements. You'll support clients with capital planning, manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and serve as a strategic partner in developing and executing project scope. Your role combines technical expertise in secured environments with strong client relationship management, financial acumen, and leadership in driving cost savings and value engineering initiatives. You'll work closely with consultants, contractors, and vendors while maintaining JLL's standards of excellence and ensuring compliance with all security and construction requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Support clients with capital plan development and project scope definition, gaining comprehensive understanding of their long-term business goals.
  • Develop detailed project budgets including hard and soft costs, demonstrating firm knowledge of construction cost/benefit analysis and conducting value engineering initiatives.
  • Provide technical support across all project phases including budgeting, scheduling, site improvements, entitlements and permits, consultant selection, design team management, and contractor management.
  • Assemble and manage required teams of consultants and contractors, developing strong relationships and evaluating their performance through intelligent bid leveling.
  • Mine, create, track, and monitor meaningful data metrics, conducting analysis and tracking KPIs to drive project success and cost savings.
  • Maintain client relationships through periodic account calls and communications, managing conflict resolution and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Provide appropriate on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are met while managing financial aspects including cash flows, anticipated cost reports, and monthly reporting.
  • Lead multiple secured environment ground-up development projects and corporate interiors projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with ICD-705/TEMPEST requirements.
  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk, managing the JLL playbook and working with clients on risk management and mitigation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in space planning, programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases with client teams.
  • Establish and refine best practices and standards of excellence, sharing knowledge across teams and clients.
  • Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain working capital charge levels set by corporate finance.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management strongly preferred.
  • 7-10 years of practical experience in construction project management.
  • 3-5 years working with secured environment projects meeting ICD-705/TEMPEST requirements.
  • Experience leading and running numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage several medium to large secured environment ground-up development projects and corporate interiors projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and process as they relate to corporate real estate.
  • Knowledge and ability reading and understanding design development and construction documents.
  • Experience working with Landlords, developers and institutional owners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional manner and computer literacy.
  • Ability to read commercial leases and support lease review processes.
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel (US and/or Canada) as needed, with ability to work in a hybrid model where up to three days are in client office locations (subject to change).
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skill and interest in business development.
  • Active presence in industry organizations and other external outlets.
  • Experience attending and participating in industry events.
