Job Summary:

Navarro & Wright Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a multi-discipline MBE/DBE firm providing full spectrum civil engineering and related services in the Mid-Atlantic region. Established in 1996, we've been ranked as one Central Pennsylvania's top engineering firms for several years. We use the latest technology and methodologies to exceed our client expectations.

N&W is seeking an experienced civil engineer to serve as a Senior Project Manager with the Site Civil Engineering department. This position is responsible for managing the planning, design, permitting, coordination, and successful delivery of private land development and municipal infrastructure projects throughout Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region.

The successful candidate will serve as the technical leader for assigned projects while managing schedules, budgets, client relationships, and multidisciplinary project teams. This individual will oversee the projects from initial client contact through permitting, bidding, construction support, and project closeout.

Approximately 90% of this position involves technical engineering and project management, with approximately 10% dedicated to proposal preparation, client development, and business support.

Schedule:

Full-time - 40 hours a week.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary
  • Serve as Project Manager and primary client contact.
  • Lead projects from proposal through final construction.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal staff and outside consultants.
  • Manage scope, quality, and contract compliance.
  • Prepare or oversee site layout, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, utility, roadway, and permitting plans.
  • Prepare technical specifications and engineer's opinions of probable construction cost.
  • Coordinate DEP, Conservation District, PennDOT, municipal, and utility approvals.
  • Support construction through shop drawing review, RFIs, field observations, change orders, and closeout.
  • Prepare engineering proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
  • Assist in developing long-term client relationships and winning new work.

Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, Bluebeam Revu, Stormwater Management Design, Erosion & Sediment Control, Utility Design, and Water and Wastewater Infrastructure.
  • HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS knowledge preferred.

Leadership
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams - coordinate survey, geotechnical, environmental, structural, traffic and utility disciplines, as needed.
  • Review engineering calculations and plans.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Promote collaboration, quality, and accountability.

Requirements:
