Irvine, CA.Primary Responsibilities- Serve as Senior Project Manager for integrated water management projects in Southern California, with emphasis on groundwater, groundwater treatment, water resources planning, hydraulic modeling, and master planning.
- Lead project delivery from initiation through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, change management, quality management, invoicing, and client communications.
- Manage groundwater supply, extraction and injection well, wellhead treatment, conveyance, and related municipal water infrastructure assignments.
- Lead or oversee planning studies, water master plans, capital improvement programs, alternatives evaluations, hydraulic model development and analysis, technical memoranda, and preliminary design reports.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide clear direction to engineers, modelers, designers, scientists, and technical specialists.
- Provide technical guidance and QA/QC for analyses, calculations, models, design criteria, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Monitor staffing needs, workload forecasts, project financial performance, estimate-to-complete, and delivery risks for active assignments.
- Build trusted relationships with public agency clients, understand program priorities, and identify opportunities to provide additional value.
- Support client service teams on strategic pursuits, including capture planning, proposal strategy, scope and fee development, technical writing, interviews, and presentations.
- Mentor project engineers and technical staff in project management, technical delivery, communication, and client service.
Preferred Experience and Skills- Demonstrated project management experience delivering municipal water, groundwater, groundwater treatment, water resources planning, or related infrastructure projects.
- Experience with groundwater wells, injection wells, wellhead treatment, and treatment approaches for constituents such as PFAS, VOCs, iron, and manganese.
- Experience leading engineering analysis, planning studies, hydraulic modeling, water master planning, and capital improvement planning.
- Working knowledge of water distribution, transmission pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, treatment plants, and associated civil infrastructure.
- Ability to develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, risk, and client expectations.
- Strong technical writing, proposal development, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Client-focused approach with the ability to support relationship management, opportunity development, and pursuit strategy.
- Practical, solutions-oriented judgment and a consistent record of follow-through.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.
Required Qualifications- Registered Civil Professional Engineer in the State of California.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant civil or environmental engineering experience, including progressively responsible project management and technical leadership.
- Experience working with municipal or regional water agencies in California is strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $137,000-$229,000 based on experience
