Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to: • Direct and coordinate work of multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out) • Responsible for all aspects of large complex planning and engineering projects with high degree of technical and political complexity, involving a large project team • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently. • Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with contractual, planning, and engineering meetings • Responsible for quality and all deliverables to the client • Responsible for client relations and serves as the primary point of contact • Direct all work associated with the projects • Responsible for the overall financial health of the projects • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule. • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule. • Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews • Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures. • Perform risk management and mitigation procedures. • Supervise large project teams and act as mentor • Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree • PMP Certification • California Professional Engineer (PE) license or Professional Geologist (PG) license • Strong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team members located in various locations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable facilitating teams and presenting to client and in a public setting. • Familiar with the various types of tools used to manage programs - Project Management Information System (PMIS), scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, dashboard analytics, etc. • Experience with water resources planning and management, XM Planning, water supply reliability studies, climate resiliency plans, or other related studies. • May require the ability to travel Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in related field • 10 years related experience • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience • Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
