Summary:
The Program Officer researches, identifies, recruits, and programs dynamic U.S. citizen experts for in-person and virtual programs that advance America First priorities in partnership with Public Diplomacy Sections overseas.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for policy specific U.S. Speaker program implementation.
- Will identify and recruit qualified U.S. experts in key America First policy areas to advance U.S. diplomatic objectives.
- Will use data and standard operating procedures to coordinate with Department-wide stakeholders and public diplomacy offices on priorities; monitor post allocations, track expenditures, report on program activity, and maintain database records.
- Will use data to develop program offers to the U.S. missions.
- It is anticipated that domestic and/or international travel may be required.

- Proficient with software, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and an ability to learn and use other software and database applications daily
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience managing exchange programs
- Experience using data and policy guidance to inform decision making
- Experience working with overseas U.S. embassies and consulates, and foreign host institutions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $133,000.00 to $143,000.00 annually.
