Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Productivity Ecosystem Engineer to provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity platforms. This role is responsible for driving platform engineering, governance, operational excellence, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement across the productivity ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365 Platform Engineering & Service Delivery:
  • Coordinate engineering and operational activities supporting Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, and related productivity services.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Security, and Infrastructure teams to implement and operationalize the Microsoft 365 platform strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across the Microsoft 365 productivity ecosystem.
  • Drive platform stability, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across Microsoft 365 services.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of new platform capabilities and enhancements.
  • Facilitate resolution of complex cross-platform issues while driving sustainable remediation and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate engineering efforts across multiple technical teams, service owners, and managed service providers.
  • Ensure operational readiness, service transition, and release management activities are successfully executed.
  • Monitor service health, platform utilization, and operational trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.


Governance, Lifecycle Management & Platform Health:
  • Coordinate the implementation of governance, lifecycle management, and operational standards across Microsoft 365 collaboration services.
  • Partner with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Information Governance teams to implement platform controls and policy requirements.
  • Drive remediation initiatives related to ownership, permissions, content lifecycle management, storage optimization, and platform health.
  • Ensure governance standards, operational controls, and lifecycle management practices are consistently applied across collaboration services.
  • Utilize service analytics, telemetry, and operational metrics to identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership visibility into platform health, governance compliance, operational risks, and remediation progress.


Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive engineering initiatives that improve operational efficiency, service reliability, and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate operational inefficiencies, and improve service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain repeatable operational practices, standards, and procedures that support long-term platform success.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform optimization, operational maturity, and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, documentation, and best practices across Microsoft 365 collaboration services.


Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
  • Partner with Product Management, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Information Security, and business stakeholders to align engineering activities with enterprise priorities.
  • Provide technical consultation and recommendations related to Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity platforms.
  • Coordinate activities across internal engineering teams, business partners, and managed service providers to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Oversee and validate work performed by managed service providers and external partners.
  • Communicate platform health, operational risks, engineering initiatives, and service improvements to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Participate in roadmap planning and technical strategy discussions representing the Microsoft 365 engineering and operational perspective.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Exchange Online.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 collaboration architecture, governance, permissions, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale remediation, optimization, migration, or modernization initiatives.
  • Experience managing service health, operational support processes, and incident response.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, automation, and process improvement.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, information governance, and data management capabilities.
  • Experience working across technical teams, business stakeholders, and service providers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator, Teams Administrator, SharePoint Administrator, Exchange Online, or related Microsoft certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph and automation frameworks.
  • Experience supporting collaboration platforms in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience managing vendor-delivered services and managed service providers.
  • Experience driving governance, adoption, and operational excellence initiatives.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $137,530 - $166,654

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
