About this Role:We're looking for a
Senior Product Manager for our
Home Improvement Loan product. In this pivotal role, you'll own and drive key initiatives shaping both merchant and customer experiences. The role is perfect for those who are self-motivated and excel in an agile environment. You'll be responsible for leading and collaborating with sales, designers, engineers, marketers, and key partners to deliver impactful, measurable outcomes.
Please note that this is a role in hybrid capacity based in our downtown San Francisco office, with onsite work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. What You'll Do:- Spearhead product strategy and execution for Upgrade's Home Improvement business, owning critical components of the platform including conversion funnel optimization, underwriting, servicing, and both merchant- and customer-facing experiences
- Lead end-to-end product initiatives from concept through delivery and post-launch optimization, continuously improving merchant retention and customer acquisition
- Drive partner integrations and unlock new monetization opportunities through APIs with external fintech ecosystem partners
- Partner closely with Engineering, Risk, and Compliance, leveraging their expertise to shape the product roadmap and execution plans
- Identify market opportunities, analyze the competitive landscape, and propose innovative solutions that strengthen our lending products and grow market share
- Translate customer insights, business goals, and market trends into prioritized product requirements, using data-driven decision making to maximize impact
What We Look For:- 5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in driving KPIs through thoughtful product development and user-centric design
- Technical proficiency including experience with financial services APIs, integration architectures, data analytics platforms, A/B testing methodologies, and SQL
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or technical degree a plus
- Proven track record of successful product delivery in consumer finance, lending platforms, or fintech environments; financial services product experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of lending regulations, underwriting processes, and credit risk principles
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with ability to align diverse teams and navigate complex organizational dynamics

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $180,000-$200,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
