Position Overview
The Senior Producer will coordinate multiple markets, assets and production teams, define production plans, align priorities and resources with the team, and manage the resolution of issues that could affect quality or delivery.
The role combines hands-on project management with guidance of other Producers and responsibility for improving production workflows. It requires a strong understanding of theatrical localization, including the dependencies between graphics, subtitling, dubbing, QC and final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex graphics localization campaigns from initial briefing through to final delivery, taking ownership of production schedules, dependencies and delivery readiness.
- Assess incoming briefs for completeness, complexity and feasibility, confirming realistic schedules and resource requirements before committing to delivery.
- Coordinate priorities across concurrent projects, resolving scheduling conflicts and capacity concerns with Producers and creative Leads.
- Coordinate graphics, subtitling, dubbing, QC and post-production teams to ensure that all elements and language versions are aligned for final delivery.
- Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams and client contacts, advising on production options and managing expectations around schedules and requirements.
- Lead the response to production escalations, defining recovery plans and communicating their impact clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage changes to scope, schedules and delivery requirements, ensuring that their implications are understood and agreed.
- Oversee reviews, approvals and quality checks, ensuring that feedback is implemented and deliverables meet the agreed brief and technical specifications.
- Ensure that project records, asset tracking and delivery lists are accurate, complete and up to date.
- Support and mentor other Producers, sharing knowledge and promoting consistent working practices.
- Identify recurring production issues and implement improvements that reduce errors, rework and delays.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience independently managing complex audiovisual localization or post-production projects involving multiple markets, versions and tight deadlines.
- A strong command of written and spoken English is essential, including the ability to lead meetings, clarify complex requirements and communicate production issues confidently.
- A strong understanding of theatrical localization and delivery workflows, including the dependencies between graphics, subtitling, dubbing, QC and final mastering.
- A solid understanding of design and post-production workflows, including how graphics are created, adapted, reviewed and delivered.
- Experience assessing workloads, dependencies and resource requirements, and translating these into realistic production schedules.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance hands-on project management, wider production priorities and support for other Producers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to manage expectations, discuss delivery constraints and resolve issues constructively.
- Sound judgement under pressure, with the ability to prioritize, make practical decisions and escalate appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing complex asset lists, language versions, approvals and delivery requirements.
- Experience supporting or mentoring other Producers and contributing to improvements in production processes.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate risks and turn recurring challenges into practical workflow improvements.
