Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Pega Developer with extensive hands-on experience in financial frameworks to design, develop, test, and roll out business process management (BPM) applications using the Pega Smart Investigate framework. The role focuses on automating and optimizing Payment Operations workflows while ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure transaction management. The developer will collaborate with product managers, business operations teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, implement enterprise-grade solutions, optimize application performance, and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. The position requires strong expertise in Pega development, case management, system integration, financial operations, and secure application architecture.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop full-stack applications with appropriate consideration for security, design, validation, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, business operations teams, and engineers to define product requirements and objectives.
• Participate in system design consulting and platform management activities.
• Develop resilient, scalable, and secure modules using cloud-native services.
• Architect, configure, and deploy end-to-end solutions using the Pega Smart Investigate framework to streamline exceptions, disputes, and investigation workflows.
• Build and maintain scalable case management workflows, business process rules, data models, and background processing components, including Queue Processors and Job Schedulers.
• Design and configure secure, enterprise-grade integrations using REST, SOAP, MQ, Kafka, and file listeners to connect Pega with external banking ledgers and core transaction systems.
• Apply Pega guardrails and development best practices to maintain application quality and compliance with established standards.
• Conduct detailed code reviews and optimize application performance by troubleshooting code errors and processing bottlenecks.
• Provide subject matter expertise on architectural direction and technical design decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on Pega development experience, including enterprise application development on the Pega PRPC platform.
• Direct, hands-on project experience with the Pega Smart Investigate framework.
• Strong operational understanding of global payment systems and banking regulations.
• Valid Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) and Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA) certifications.
• Master-level knowledge of Pega Case Management, Enterprise Class Structure (ECS) design, Data Pages, Declarative Expressions, UI rules, and Report Definitions.
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable business process management applications.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience with secure system integrations and background processing components.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot application issues and processing bottlenecks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, business operations teams, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, accountability, and ownership of assigned deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Pega 8.x.
• Additional Pega certifications, such as Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA).
• Experience in financial services, particularly corporate cash management.
• Experience working with AWS services.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
