Description:Senior Patient Registrar - OB/GYN Services - Queens Medical GroupAs a Senior Patient Registrar, you'll play a vital role in creating a seamless and supportive experience for our patients.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:- Registering patients and scheduling appointments and procedures
- Answers and directs incoming calls
- Gathering demographic and insurance information
- Obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations
- Ensuring complete patient checkout, and follow up on physician's orders
- Providing guidance and support to fellow administrative staff
- Serving as a calm, reassuring presence for patients navigating their care journey
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday day-shift position with varying hours between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. Possible Saturday coverage may be required in the near future. The role is based in Forest Hills and supports the NYP Queens Medical Group.
Preferred Criteria:- Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
- Experience working in a busy medical practice.
Required Criteria:- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of clerical experience
- Proficient in computer skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Salary Range:$34.65-$42.65/Hourly
