Senior Oracle Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Data Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise data solutions that power critical business applications and analytics. In this role, you'll develop scalable ETL pipelines, optimize Oracle databases, automate data workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on data integration and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions, including stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.
  • Build, enhance, and support ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Develop automation solutions using Python and Unix Shell scripting.
  • Implement source code management and CI/CD best practices using GitHub, GitOps, and Jenkins.
  • Manage and monitor batch processing using Control-M and AutoSys.
  • Optimize Oracle databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Support reporting and analytics by delivering high-quality datasets for OBIEE/OAS and other BI platforms.
  • Collaborate with business users, architects, and application teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot ETL, database, and production data issues while ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including ETL mappings, data flows, deployment procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews, data architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation projects while ensuring compliance with security and data governance standards.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience developing complex Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL (packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python and Unix Shell scripting in a data engineering environment.
  • 6+ years of experience working with Oracle Database, including performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.
  • Experience building scalable data integration solutions across both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M and AutoSys.
  • Experience using GitHub, GitOps, and Jenkins for source control and deployment automation.
  • Experience supporting business intelligence platforms such as OBIEE/OAS.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and regulatory best practices.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $92,408-$213,906. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
