As a Senior Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technologist, you'll bridge engineering, inspection, and testing activities within our Materials Engineering team. Working across corrosion, metallurgy, coatings, welding, and asset integrity projects, you'll contribute to solutions that improve infrastructure reliability, durability, and performance for clients in the transportation, municipal, industrial, commercial, and energy sectors.
Your Impact- Conduct and coordinate field, shop, and construction inspections, testing activities, and condition assessments on critical infrastructure assets.
- Support corrosion, metallurgy, protective coating, welding, and NDT projects that improve asset performance and longevity.
- Translate field observations, inspection findings, and testing results into clear technical documentation and recommendations.
- Contribute to asset integrity, rehabilitation, and infrastructure durability projects that support safer, more resilient communities.
- Review and organize inspection records, laboratory results, technical documentation, and quality records to support project delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, laboratories, and project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Support construction-phase services through site observations, deficiency tracking, quality documentation, and project closeout activities.
- Expand your expertise across materials engineering, corrosion assessment, coatings, welding inspection, and advanced testing technologies.
The Skills That Set You Apart- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Welding Technology, Inspection Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in corrosion, coatings, metallurgy, welding inspection, non-destructive testing, materials testing, infrastructure assessment, or related consulting and testing environments.
- Hands-on experience conducting field inspections and working within industrial, municipal, transportation, energy, or construction settings.
- AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector Level 3, CSA W178.2 Level 3 Welding Inspector, CGSB MT/MPI, UT certifications, or progress toward these credentials are considered strong assets.
- Familiarity with CSA, ASTM, AWS, AMPP/NACE, SSPC, ISO, and related industry standards.
- Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to travel occasionally and perform field work in a variety of environmental conditions, including industrial facilities, fabrication shops, construction sites, and remote locations.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:
$77,400 - $102,500 MB & ON:
$70,600 - $97,200 NB, NL, NS, PE & QC:
$69,900 - $92,900 Disclosure:The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
