Your future role on our team

As a Mechanical and Piping Engineer, you'll take part inengineering proposals and projects in the mining and metals industry across theUnited States and Canada. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the qualityof professional services delivered while maintaining strong relationships withclients and internal teams.

You'll play a key role throughout all phases ofengineering projects, helping deliver high-quality technical solutions. You'llalso visit client sites occasionally, support business development efforts andmentor junior engineers to support team growth.

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States, or eligible
  • PE license in either Arizona or Nevada is mandatory
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in mining, energy or heavy industry
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment
  • Ability to interpret process and engineering documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, drawings)
  • Field experience (construction, commissioning, site support)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and teams
  • Valid driver's license and available for occasional travel
  • Experience with equipment design and selection, piping systems and material handling
  • Experience with layout development and mechanical calculations
  • Experience with bulk material handling systems, pumping systems, piping networks, crushers and process equipment
  • Experience developing PFD/P&ID-based layouts, equipment arrangement and 3D modelling validation
  • Experience with hydraulic sizing, pump selection, stress considerations and material selection
  • Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API and other relevant industry and piping standards
  • Experience with P&IDs, isometrics, general arrangement, equipment lists and line list standards
  • Asset: advanced engineering degree (M.Sc. or equivalent)
  • Asset: experience in engineering estimates and proposal preparation
  • Asset: project management and project control skills
  • Asset: experience with relevant software and design tools (discipline-specific)
  • Asset: Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SmartPlant and AFT Fathom software
