Job Details

Haemonetics is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer based out of its Center of Excellence located in Clinton, PA (Pittsburgh). In this role, you will directly impact product quality, operational efficiency, and new product launches in a highly automated, regulated environment. You will apply advanced technical problem-solving to complex manufacturing challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large-scale manufacturing projects, managing scope, timelines, and budgets while partnering cross-functionally.
  • Ensure production processes and product designs deliver consistent, high-quality output at optimal cost.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, OEE, and assembly methods, ensuring measurable and sustained results.
  • Develop and implement changes to manufacturing processes; support new equipment introductions and drive design-for-manufacturability.
  • Conduct and lead root cause analysis efforts for manufacturing issues.
  • Serve as an escalation path for troubleshooting and repair of industrial automation equipment.
  • Maintain a strong, hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor, partnering closely with operators and maintenance to drive performance and reliability.
  • Lead projects on Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and Cost Improvement Projects, 5S, Kaizen events.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional experience. Master's and internship experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, scrap reduction, and COGS reduction. High-volume manufacturing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machine design and troubleshooting (electrical and mechanical).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean methods, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485, preferred.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate's location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics' employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, "flexible time off" for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks' vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.
