Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Talent Development serves as the organization's lead practitioner for learning, leadership development, organizational development, and change management initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Talent Management, this position partners with leaders and HR colleagues to assess organizational needs, develop workforce capabilities, support change initiatives, and implement development programs that strengthen employee performance, leadership effectiveness, and organizational outcomes. The position oversees day-to-day learning and development operations and supervises the Training Coordinator

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of leadership development, employee development, professional growth, and learning initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as the internal consultant for organizational development initiatives, including team effectiveness, organizational assessments, workforce capability analysis, and process improvement efforts.
  • Lead change management planning and execution for assigned organizational initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, readiness assessments, and adoption strategies..
  • Partner with organizational and HR leaders to identify performance gaps, training needs, and development opportunities; recommend solutions to improve effectiveness and engagement.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of succession planning, talent review, high-potential employee development, and leadership pipeline initiatives.
  • Develop and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs, workshops, and leadership development experiences.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness, organizational development outcomes, and change adoption metrics; prepare reports and recommendations for the Director, Talent Management.
  • Manage learning technologies, vendors, instructional resources, and external consultants supporting development initiatives.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the Training Coordinator; oversee learning administration and operational processes.
  • Support talent management initiatives including performance management, succession planning processes, onboarding, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Lead workforce development, apprenticeship, internship, academic partnership, and career pathway initiatives to strengthen workforce readiness and talent pipelines.
  • Establish learning governance standards, competency frameworks, mandatory training requirements, learning metrics, and organizational learning policies.


Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Education, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred

Experience
• Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Talent Management, Human Resources, or related disciplines, including demonstrated experience leading change management and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of supervisory, project leadership, or team leadership experience.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification, CPTD, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, or related credentials
