Overview

The Senior Manager of IT Product Management is a critical contributor in crafting the strategy and roadmap, and will be responsible for owning, managing, and executing the backlog of work required to realize roadmap commitments. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and providing deep expertise around the configuration, deployment, and optimization of products. The Sr. IT Product Manager will grow a team of skilled product owner/ technical analyst professionals as subject matter experts on these tools and capabilities as well as be responsible for ensuring the technical administration of these tools, including access management, monitoring/ alerting and day-to-day technical support.

The role reports to our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.

Essential Functions

  • Through product expertise, lead overall solution design, ensuring meets long-term portfolio needs as well as cross-functional strategies
  • Contribute to the multi-year strategy by offering insights and perspective on how we use our technology to contribute to our strategy
  • Responsible for assisting leadership in determining priority of work by providing key insights on value, scope, cost, and resourcing needs
  • Support project/program management of strategic projects including orchestrating discovery, scoping, planning, and implementation for complex cross-platform projects.
  • Own project budget or key line items within Cost Center budget as appropriate
  • Grow a team of subject matter experts to deliver new capabilities and administer existing tooling
  • Identify ways to optimize across processes, adoption of tooling, and opportunities to automate for efficiency gains
  • Represent the needs of the customer and building capabilities that drive the greatest alignment to business and customer value. Create, maintain, and prioritize the 12-month roadmap based upon pulse checks with the business and comparing with trends and other industry leaders
  • Act as an internal SME on technical topics related to portfolio informing technology roadmaps and working alongside product owners/ analysts to coordinate key enhancements and improvements to new or existing platforms
  • Build positive relationships with business, IT, and vendor partners on other multi-functional teams such as Engineering and Analytics. Continue to find ways to improve the productivity, relationships, and outcomes of the collective team.
  • Lead resource-matrixed teams, owning the product backlog, crafting user stories and acceptance criteria in partnership with analysts/product owners, prioritizing new feature or enhancement stories, bugs, and discovery or tech tasks based on perceived user value, metrics and release planning.
  • Coordinate and facilitate (as necessary) agile ceremonies such as daily stand up, grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Lead scrum of scrum planning sessions across product and platform spaces
  • Responsible for SOX Controls, as needed


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT product management with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in Retail Merchandising Systems with an emphasis in Master Data Management/Product Information Management (MDM/PIM), Merchandising, Product Data, Inventory, Pricing, Promotions, Assortment
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience leading discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product/ direct technical product management experience
  • Experience leading enterprise platform implementations and integrations.
  • Experience working with SaaS platforms and third-party technology providers.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and enterprise integration concepts.
