Position Summary

We are seeking a highly technical, strategic, and experienced Senior Infrastructure Cloud Systems Manager to lead an IT team overseeing a complex hybrid, multi-cloud enterprise ecosystem.

In this position, you will work alongside executive leadership to identify strategic technology solutions, direct a team of IT professionals, manage key projects, and assess emerging technologies to maximize operational efficiency and security. Key duties include building vendor partnerships, maintaining robust cybersecurity standards, overseeing the departmental budgets, reporting performance metrics, and cultivating an environment centered on continuous growth and professional development.

The individual must be dedicated to strengthening system resilience, modernizing infrastructure and accelerating Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption through rigorous governance and service delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy and Leadership
  • Own the infrastructure strategy and roadmap, partnering with senior management to align technology initiatives with business priorities, risk tolerances and AI-enabled innovation.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of infrastructure professionals, building strong technical capability, accountability and succession planning. .
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), clear escalation paths, and operational SLAs/SLOs. Drive capacity planning, resource allocation and advance technological transformation.

Multi-Cloud & On-Premises Architecture
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and strategic evolution of enterprise infrastructure across VMware, Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI.
  • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to standardize deployments across distinct cloud environments.
  • Establish governance models for multi-cloud management, workload placement, cross-cloud networking, and platform interconnectivity.
  • Develop the systems infrastructure, governance, identity and data foundations required for enabling enterprise AI.

Reliability, Performance & Operations
  • Maintain target uptime, resilience, and business continuity across all production environments.
  • Implement centralized monitoring, alerting, and observability tools across hybrid environments.
  • Partner with Security teams to enforce identity access management (IAM), patch management, zero-trust architectures, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, PCI-DSS).
  • Lead through critical events including major outages, cybersecurity incidents and recovery efforts. Work with cross-functional teams to restore services and minimize business impacts.
  • Lead Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy, testing, ransomware preparedness, recovery capabilities and infrastructure governance to support security, compliance and business continuity.

Vendor & Financial Management
  • Manage infrastructure budgets and spends, vendor relationships, and licensing agreements to ensure cost effective operations.
  • Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate SLAs, contracts and performance expectations.
  • Drive FinOps practices-monitoring multi-cloud consumption costs, eliminating waste, and optimizing usage across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 12+ years in Systems/Cloud Engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a formal technical leadership or management role.
  • OS & Virtualization Mastery: Deep operational expertise with VMware vSphere/vCenter, Microsoft Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy), and Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Multi-Cloud Expertise: Proven track record running production workloads across major cloud hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and database/enterprise clouds (OCI).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Hands-on background with automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, or cloud-native IaC frameworks).
  • Networking & Security: Solid understanding of multi-cloud networking (VPCs, VNets, DirectConnect, ExpressRoute, FastConnect), DNS, IAM, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Disaster Recovery: Experience designing and testing robust DR/BCP strategies across hybrid/multi-cloud setups.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant enterprise certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect Professional, VCP-DCV).
  • Background in FinOps and cloud cost management tools.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, AKS) and CI/CD pipelines.
