Job Title: Senior Quality Manager, Flight Line

Department: Quality

Reports to: VP Manufacturing

1. Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

The Senior Quality Manager of Flight Line Quality Control Management, and Execution of Helicopter Flight Line of an FAA part 21 approved Quality System. The Senior Manager, Quality Control of Flight Line will ensure compliance and safety, balanced with cost in alignment with operations to safely bring acft to pre-flight, ground test, and flight testing. Driving the finalization process to the delivery and acceptance intent on ZERO defect aircraft being presented to customers. Provide technical leadership, leaning on knowledge of FAA P21 requirements, AS9100, and aerospace knowledge. The Senior Quality Manager of Flight Line, will also focus on personnel management and development, ensuring competencies equal to the business and market requirements. The Senior Manager will have a Continuous Improvement approach to processes while executing to the business plan.

  1. Qualifications for Position:


A. Education

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Management,

or a related technical discipline

B. Experience

5+ years of management and Quality experience or Equivalent

C. Competencies & Attributes

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of AS9100 QMS and FAA

requirements. Experience in Lean/Six Sigma, and a demonstrated approach to the job is a

must. Must be a Leader and Change Agent with sound fundamentals in Quality

Principles in Aerospace and Continuous Improvement. This Leader must demonstrate the

ability to engage with partners and shareholders to find solutions, in execution and

process. The candidate mut also demonstrate the ability to engage with stakeholders at

Executive levels, internally, and externally including customers from the commercial and

defense sectors.

D. Licensure/Certification

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt desired, Green belt required

ASQ Certification highly desired

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or verified military equivalent desired
