Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Event Manager to join Freshworks' Event Experience team within Brand Marketing, reporting to the Director of Event Experiences. Ideally based in our San Mateo, Bellevue, or Boston office, this role will play a key part in delivering elevated, cohesive, and operationally excellent event experiences across Freshworks' global portfolio.

The Event Experience team serves as a centralized hub of excellence for global events, setting the strategy, standards, governance, and ways of working that enable scalable, unified, and results-driven programs. The Senior Event Manager will help bring that strategy to life, contributing event-level perspective, developing plans and experiences, and partnering closely with the Director and cross-functional teams to turn broader objectives into exceptional events.

In the first 6-12 months, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of high-priority events and serve as a strategic and operational partner from planning through execution. You'll lead event workbacks, experience development, production, vendor and agency relationships, and cross-functional alignment, while contributing to the continued evolution of the team's playbooks and ways of working. Success means delivering events that are flawlessly executed, purposeful, differentiated, and connected to Freshworks' broader brand and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a portfolio of high-priority events from planning through execution, ensuring the attendee experience is purposeful, on-brand, and aligned to event objectives.
  • Drive day-to-day event planning and execution across agenda, experience, logistics, production, and delivery, coordinating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bring event narratives to life, overseeing Run-of-Show, stage management, AV, technical production, and onsite execution.
  • Manage production agencies and vendors ensuring high-quality delivery, cost efficiency, strong relationships, and adherence to Freshworks standards.
  • Own event budgets from initial estimates through final reconciliation, including contracts, purchase orders, and procurement processes.
  • Partner with Creative Services to execute the event look and feel across stage, environmental, signage, digital, and other attendee touchpoints.
  • Contribute to the evolution of event playbooks, production standards, workbacks, and best practices, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Post event evaluations, capture learnings, and recommend improvements that strengthen future experiences.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex corporate events, conferences, executive experiences, or experiential programs, preferably in B2B technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven ability to own events end-to-end, from strategy and experience development through production, onsite execution, and post-event evaluation.
  • Experience managing complex events across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, vendors, budgets, and tight timelines.
  • Strong event production, vendor, and financial management skills, including contracts, procurement, AV, Run-of-Show, stage management, and onsite operations.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business and brand objectives into differentiated attendee experiences and confidently partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or IT Service Management (ITSM), with an understanding of how events support brand, customer engagement, and business growth.
  • Experience managing India-based vendors and cross-functional teams, including the ability to navigate time zones, communication styles, and complex workstreams across geographies.
  • Proficiency with event technology and platforms, including Cvent or similar event management and registration platforms.
  • Experience with experiential marketing or innovative event formats, with a demonstrated ability to bring creative concepts and brand narratives to life in unexpected ways.
