What is the opportunity?

Join the Enterprise Performance Management team and directly influence RBC's strategic direction. You'll deliver actionable insights for the CFO, Group Executive, and Board of Directors that shape decision-making across our major business lines. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with senior leadership at the operating committee level, translating complex business strategy into performance metrics that drive bank-wide results. You'll own key initiatives that strengthen RBC's competitive position while contributing to our medium-term strategic goals. Through value-added advice, you'll enable early identification of opportunities and issues, and make actionable strategic recommendations that support long-term bank performance.

What will you do?
  • Prepare comprehensive Board and Executive-level reporting packages, including monthly/quarterly operating results and RBC earnings documents for CFO and Operating Committee review
  • Conduct rigorous vendor and professional fee analysis; deliver deep-dive analytics to optimize third-party spend and drive cost transparency across the organization
  • Support the end-to-end expense reporting cycle by preparing accurate, timely reports and dashboards; continuously streamline reporting processes
  • Co-lead development and reporting of key financial and non-financial performance indicators (KPIs) for major business lines to enable outperformance versus pre-set benchmarks
  • Consolidate and report RBC quarterly earnings documents reviewed by CFO and CFO Operating Committee; coordinate with all business segments for timely inputs and commentary
  • Manage build-out of analytical and performance management dashboards for operating committees, group executives, and CEO/CFO reporting; establish data solutions to present financial and non-financial metrics to senior audiences
  • Provide business executives and senior management with performance analysis and strategic recommendations through issue identification, ongoing monitoring, and evaluation of strategic initiatives and key decision variables
  • Prepare comprehensive financial trend reports for all business segments and lines of business on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; support actual results and forecasting/planning periods
  • Drive operational efficiencies and optimize processes to enhance Enterprise Performance Management effectiveness
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to support performance management requirements and enhance cross-unit collaboration capabilities
  • Own ad hoc projects as required by CFO, CFO Operating Committee, and Head of Investor Relations


What do you need to succeed?

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree; with emphasis in finance/accounting preferred
  • +5 years of experience in a financial institution or management consulting firm with focus on banking/capital markets
  • Proven expertise in Performance Management and/or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Advanced proficiency with Power Point and Excel (ability to build macros and use VBA); strong data analytics capabilities
  • Exceptional analytical skills with keen sense of numbers; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time-sensitive executive-level requests on a continuous basis
  • Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder relationship management and influencing across matrix organizations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to mobilize cross-functional teams and drive collaboration
  • Innovative, proactive, and persistent approach to issue resolution


Nice to Have:
  • CPA, CFA, or Finance MBA with specialization in financial institutions
  • Existing knowledge/expertise in Financial Institution business and transactions (inclusive of bank structure, risk management concepts, financial markets, and instruments)
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R, or other data analytics toolsets
