OverviewAt REI Co-op, you will shape how people find and shop for gear online. You will turn shop and activity plans into clear product sets, useful pages, and simple paths to buy. You will lead a team and use customer and sales data to guide the work. You will also work with teams across the co-op. Together, you will help grow sales, serve members, and link the online and store experience. This role serves as the digital voice within category planning, assortment strategy, inventory prioritization, go to market planning, and execution supporting a defined Division and Activity.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Set the plan for digital merchandising across shop and activity areas. The work includes product sets, season stories, launches, offers, search, page flow, and product pages.
- Lead, coach, and grow a team. Set clear goals, give useful feedback, support growth, make staffing choices, and build trust and shared ownership.
- Use web, sales, demand, stock, return, profit, and customer data to set priorities and improve the rate of visits that lead to a sale.
- Work with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Operations. Build plans that meet customer needs and co-op goals in digital and store channels.
- Make the case for new tools and site updates. Guide tests and use of tools for search, page flow, product content, customer reviews, and site structure.
- Track results and share clear insights. Change plans based on results, customer impact, market shifts, and team capacity.
Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of strategic planning work on an ecommerce or marketing team.
- 5+ years of direct people leadership on an ecommerce team.
- 3+ years of web analytics work, including web measures and the ability to export and use data.
- Experience building and carrying out online product and stock plans for a retailer with digital and store channels.
- Experience improving ecommerce results through product display, search, page flow, product pages, item setup, tests, and customer stories.
- Experience with content management systems. Skill in building trust across teams and shaping choices with senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
- Experience creating objectives and key results.
Pay Range$125,300.00 - $212,900.00 per year
