Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cape Cod Community College's Center for Community and Professional Education (CCAPE) is seeking a dynamic, community-minded leader to serve as Senior Manager of Career and Technical Education. This is a unique opportunity to expand access to career and technical training across the region ? building the pathways that help individuals gain credentials, change careers, and step into in-demand jobs, while strengthening the community partnerships that make that access possible. If you are passionate about connecting people to opportunity and building programs that meet real workforce gaps, this is your chance to shape how Cape Cod residents train for the future.

In this role, the Senior Manager of Career and Technical Education will lead the development, implementation, and management of CCAPE's open enrollment training portfolio ? from short-term credentialing to stackable, grant-funded programming ? in close partnership with community organizations, libraries, senior centers, and regional workforce partners. The Senior Manager will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement and Workforce Partnerships and the Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer to ensure CCAPE's programming reflects both industry demand and community need, and requires strong judgment, initiative, and a collaborative approach to carry out responsibilities effectively.

This position is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who thrives on building partnerships, designing programs that open doors for learners, and navigating the intersection of higher education, workforce development, and community impact.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
  1. Develop and manage CCAPE's Career and Technical Education open enrollment portfolio, including but not limited to: short- to long-term training, professional development, credentialing and digital badges, Credit for Prior Learning based projects, stackable credentials, bridging to credit bearing certificates and programs, grant-funded programming, career training programs, contract open enrollment programs, and other programs/projects as assigned.
  2. Cultivate and expand open enrollment training initiatives with community partners (including libraries, senior centers, nonprofit and community-based organizations, and municipal partners) to broaden public access to CCAPE programming across the region.
  3. Develop and maintain a CCAPE instructor talent bench in adherence with College policies and procedures that provides staffing for a wide range of course topics and programs via various modalities, such as virtual, hybrid, HyFlex, and in-person.
  4. Compile and maintain comprehensive information regarding instructors, clients, students, funders, and program partners.
  5. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement and Workforce Partnerships to conduct assessments to evaluate labor market information and analyze workforce trends to ensure the Career and Technical Education program open enrollment portfolio and Employer Contract Training portfolio meets market demand and specific market and partner needs, and to collaborate on special partnerships and projects that benefit both areas.
  6. Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement and Workforce Partnerships to coordinate and share program coordinator staff supporting both areas, ensuring coordinators can be flexibly reallocated between teams during periods of high demand so that both Career and Technical Education and Employer Engagement/Workforce Partnerships programming remain adequately staffed and supported.
  7. Oversee CCAPE open enrollment student/participant management, including but not limited to registration, attendance monitoring, reporting, and participant and program progress and outcomes.
  8. Facilitate the development of articulation agreements with the academic programs, in collaboration with the Assistant Director and Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer.
  9. Collaborate and manage outreach to external partners and community, including but not limited to, industry/private sector businesses, economic development and workforce organizations, and educational institutions.
  10. Review and update the existing Career and Technical Education open enrollment portfolio and utilize formative and summative evaluations for constant review of course materials and instructor quality.
  11. Identify and develop grant and funding proposals in partnership with the Director/Chief Workforce Development Officer and Director of Grants Administration.
  12. Coordinate and partner with CCAPE's Employer Training team to explore partnership programs between existing corporate curriculum and corporate instructors.
