This position will serve as the primary connection between functional stakeholders and the technical implementation team. The Business Lead will gather and translate institutional needs, guide implementation decisions, coordinate stakeholder onboarding, and help ensure new functionality is successfully adopted.
The role is primarily focused on the business and functional side of implementation, rather than hands-on technical development. The ideal candidate will understand higher education operations and be comfortable working with academic administrators, advising teams, registration stakeholders, and technology teams.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in higher education administration, academic technology, or a related environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting implementations of degree audit, academic advising, academic planning, registration, or similar higher education technology.
- Demonstrated ability to translate between technical teams and academic or administrative stakeholders.
- Understanding of higher education registration, advising, degree audit, or academic planning processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting change management within a complex or decentralized organization.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholder priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication with distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications - Direct experience implementing degree audit or academic planning platforms.
- Experience with student success or academic technology implementations.
- Experience working within a highly decentralized college or university environment.
- Experience coordinating technology rollouts across multiple departments or academic units.
- Familiarity with academic advising, registration, curriculum planning, or student information processes.
- Experience facilitating governance groups, steering committees, or cross-functional working groups.
