IATA's Business Intelligence Services (BIS) serve as the focal point and driving force for aviation data management and BI services in the aviation industry. One of the four verticals within the BIS department is Aircraft, Environment and Operations Data.

The team manages a portfolio of aviation BI solutions and data sharing programs leveraging IATA's unique access to airline data such as ScheduleIS, Turbulence Aware, CO2 CONNECT, MRO SmartHub, FuelIS. The team is comprised of aviation industry experts, data management and analytic professionals based in Montreal and Geneva.

The Senior Manager, Business Systems and Data will report to the Assistant Director and this role is accountable for ensuring the reliability and accuracy of schedule data systems. This role owns the end-to-end performance of the solution, data processing operations, the schedule output data, ensuring data integrity and system availability.

What your day would be like

Solution Maintenance & Optimization & Data Processing Operations
Ensure the schedule data solution continues to meet business requirements through regular evaluation and refinement.
Collaborate with the I&D team to maintain solution integrity and support ongoing enhancements.
Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Act as the primary liaison for vendors and internal teams, overseeing operational requirements, tracking deliverables, managing change requests, and ensuring timely issue resolution.
Maintain documentation of business processes and operational workflows.
Manage day-to-day data processing operations of the program, ensuring consistent delivery, high quality data, and adherence to SLAs.
Work closely with IATA's I&D team for support testing, issue resolution, and system updates.
Schedule Output Data
Own the end-to-end integrity, accuracy, and delivery of schedule output data, ensuring it is reliably processed by the system and meets quality standards aligned with business and industry expectations.
Maintain and evolve the knowledge related to schedule data output and maintain the knowledge base of frequently asked questions.
Investigate and resolve complex data related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses aligned with SLAs.
Provide feedback to development cycle based on recurring user queries or issues.
Quality Assurance & Testing
Write and validate user stories for operational enhancements, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical feasibility.
Contribute to testing activities and support release planning and execution.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in regular review meetings and sprint demos to assess solution performance and prioritize updates.
Contribute to UI/UX refinements and portal integration improvements based on user feedback.
Support backlog grooming and sprint planning for operational releases.
Strategic Enhancements & Solution Expansion
Lead the planning and execution of major solution enhancements aimed at introducing new functionalities or expanding into new business areas.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate approved business cases into actionable development plans.
Oversee the implementation lifecycle of projects, from requirements gathering through deployment and post-launch support.
