Senior Manager - AI Core Services Development

We are looking for a passionate Senior Manager to join our Core AI Services team. In this role, you will lead the delivery and overall effectiveness of multiple Scrum teams building AI platform services, working closely with Technical Leads who drive technical design and implementation.

You will be accountable for ensuring consistent execution against the AI platform vision, strategy, and roadmap, while also focusing on team health, performance, and career development. This role requires close collaboration with product, portfolio, and engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader company objectives.

Our goal is to deliver and scale AI-enabled platform services and public APIs that are secure, reliable, and cloud-native, forming the foundation for AI adoption across AVEVA's product portfolio and partner ecosystem.

You will initially manage two Scrum teams, with team members distributed across locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery & Execution
  • Lead and manage delivery across multiple Scrum teams ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes
  • Own planning, prioritization, dependency management, and delivery tracking
  • Translate business priorities into clear delivery plans
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and blockers proactively

People Leadership & Team Effectiveness
  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Own performance management and career development
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Stakeholder Management & Alignment
  • Align with Product, Portfolio, and Architecture teams
  • Provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and trade-offs
  • Act as escalation point for delivery issues

Operating Model & Ways of Working
  • Drive effective Agile practices
  • Improve delivery predictability and team efficiency
  • Enable collaboration across distributed teams

Technical Oversight (Non-Hands-On)
  • Maintain technical understanding to support decisions
  • Work with Technical Leads on architecture alignment
  • No hands-on coding responsibility

AI & Cloud Expertise
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs
  • Familiarity with RAG, agents, and orchestration patterns
  • Awareness of MCP, A2A frameworks
  • Understanding of cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred)
  • Ability to partner with Technical Leads on design decisions
  • Knowledge of AI lifecycle, governance, and security

Hybrid working
