Role Overview:This role is for a Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The successful candidate will provide critical support for mission-critical Linux systems, troubleshoot complex issues, manage clustering environments, and automate tasks using Ansible, while also supporting cloud-based Linux workloads in AWS.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems in mission-critical environments.
- Troubleshoot complex OS, performance, storage, network, and application-level issues.
- Manage and support Red Hat Cluster environments ensuring high availability and business continuity.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Automate system administration and configuration management tasks using Ansible.
- Implement system hardening, patching, upgrades, and security best practices.
- Work on system performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with application, network, storage, and security teams.
- Support cloud-based Linux workloads in AWS (EC2, EBS, VPC, IAM - good to have).
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 production support.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills:- Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Strong clustering knowledge.
- Automation experience using Ansible.
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong collaboration skills.
Qualifications:- 6-8 years of experience.
- L3-level expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Preferred Skills:- Unix / Linux Basics and Commands.
- RedHat Linux.
