As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within Cloud Foundational Services, you will set technical direction and lead delivery of secure, scalable, self-service platform capabilities that standardize how teams consume AWS networking, EC2, and storage. You will drive architecture and engineering standards across teams, mentor senior engineers, and partner with stakeholders to deliver enterprise cloud foundations.

Job responsibilities
  • Set technical direction and lead delivery for developer platform capabilities spanning AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
  • Own Terraform strategy and execution (enterprise module standards, state/backends, CI/CD integration, environment promotion, governance).
  • Build platform automation and services in Python (workflows, validations, integrations with AWS APIs).
  • Ensure secure-by-default designs (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption/KMS, secure storage configurations).
  • Lead design reviews, resolve complex cross-cutting technical issues, and drive reliability through automation and standardization.
  • Mentor engineers, influence engineering best practices, and partner with architecture, security, and application teams.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 7+ years software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • AWS expertise required, with deep hands-on experience in networking, EC2, and storage.
  • Terraform expertise required, including enterprise-scale module development and operating IaC across environments.
  • Python expertise required for platform automation and services.
  • Strong system design, CI/CD, SDLC, security, resiliency, and operational stability experience in production environments.
Preferred qualifications
  • Proven track record building and governing reusable Terraform modules (versioning, testing/validation, documentation, long-term maintenance).
  • Experience delivering shared platforms/foundational services in a large-scale enterprise environment.
