Job DescriptionOverviewThe ideal candidate is not primarily a designer but a construction-focused landscape architect who understands how complex landscape and infrastructure projects are built and can confidently represent the client during construction. An experienced Senior Landscape Architect with strong expertise in site supervision, ensuring design intent is successfully delivered from concept through implementation.
Proactive and entrepreneurial, with a demonstrated ability to support the development of landscape architecture services through proposal preparation, client engagement, design leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Skilled at working closely with engineers, planners, architects, and environmental specialists to develop practical, high-quality design solutions that meet project objectives and client expectations.
Your role- Lead landscape architecture projects from concept development through construction completion.
- Monitor design quality and verify compliance with drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and municipal standards.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation and fee estimates.
- Develop landscape design concepts, plans, specifications, and presentation materials.
- Lead construction surveillance, field reviews, inspections, and project documentation for landscape and urban infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical guidance and quality control throughout project delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, architects, and other specialists to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions.
About you- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- CSTS 2020 certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Full membership or the ability to obtain immediate full membership with the AALA/CSLA.
- Minimum 10 years of professional landscape architecture experience.
- Ability to lead complex landscape architecture and infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam or equivalent document review software.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve construction issues while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Aptitude for leadership, decision-making, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Proficiency in contract administration, construction surveillance, quality assurance, and safety-focused project delivery.
