Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurate standard and current costs for monthly profitability, sales quotes and inventory valuation.
  • Analyze standard cost variances including labor rates, labor efficiencies, purchase price, scrap and material usage.
  • Develop cost analysis of products and product lines for profitability and provide recommendations for cost efficiencies in new product designs.
  • Team member of Kaizen events and champion for a lean manufacturing.
  • Prepare monthly margin reports, inventory reports, overhead spending reports and monthly Journal Entries.
  • Ensure a system of strong internal controls is in place and provide leadership in Sarbanes Oxley compliance for Inventory and cost issues.
  • Assist Production and Supply Chain departments with correction of problem work orders, inventory discrepancies, and inventory transaction issues. Reconcile WIP to ensure timely and accurate closure of open work orders and tracking documents.
  • Assist CFO with annual budget preparation. Specifically, cost of sales, direct labor, manufacturing overhead, and variances.
  • Lead a cross functional Inventory Reduction team to eliminate on hand excess inventory and set up procedures to eliminate additional E&O inventory.
  • Manage and administer cycle count program, including Consignment Inventories - audit and validate results for accuracy.
  • Audit Gelco Expense Reports.


Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years college with accounting concentration and 2-5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing background.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software and AS400.ent verbal and written communication skills.
