Full Job Description
The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Create relationships with clients in the Texas area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client and design center teams

Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.

Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects

Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.

Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities

Support multiple Water and Wastewater and other Market Sector projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will possess a mix of excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge.


11 years' experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting

7 years' experience in water/wastewater industry

Experience in project management and business development.

Experienced with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA, or similar.

Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives and technical specifications.

Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.

Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership and team management abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.Minimum of 5 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or must be obtained within one year.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This position would require working in a typical office environment. The position may entail prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, and the professional would ideally be able to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday. The position may also require physical tasks during site visits, including crouching, grasping, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
