Your CharterBuild customer frontend experiences, starting with the 1X fleet management platform. You will design and develop intuitive, high-performance web applications and work with the backend team to build flexible platform APIs for developer use. Your work will directly impact the reliability, scalability, and operational success of every robot deployed by 1X.
Key Outcomes- Design and deliver highly performant frontend applications that provide real-time visibility and control of robots, both individual and fleets.
- Build intuitive dashboards and customizable workflows that are simple to use.
- Improve application performance, responsiveness, and usability while maintaining high engineering quality and reliability.
- Partner closely with Backend, Product, Design, and Core teams to deliver scalable user experiences that support rapidly growing robot deployments.
- Establish frontend architecture, component libraries, and engineering best practices that enable rapid product development across the platform.

Minimum Requirements- 6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience developing complex web applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience building data-intensive dashboards, operational tooling, or enterprise web applications.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, or real-time data streams into production applications.
Preferred Skills- Experience building fleet management, observability, monitoring, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or operational tooling.
- Experience with real-time data visualization using WebSockets, gRPC, or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with robotics platforms, autonomous systems, IoT devices, or industrial automation.
- Experience building reusable design systems and component libraries, including familiarity with mobile or cross-platform development.
- Experience with cloud-native environments such as AWS, Kubernetes, or distributed systems.
