Role Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a core analytical contributor within the Auto CFO organization, supporting strategic decision making through rigorous financial modeling, analysis, and insight generation. This role partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models supporting business performance
  • Build tools, projections and scenario analyses to evaluate business risk and future outlooks
  • Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and assess implications of operational changes

Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Conduct sensitivity and trade off analysis tied to core business levers
  • Support the creation of insight-led narratives that connect financial outcomes to operational drivers
  • Move beyond descriptive reporting by proactively diagnosing issues and surfacing potential corrective actions

Tool & Framework Development

  • Build, enhance, and maintain analytical tools, templates, and dashboards to support repeatable decision support
  • Improve data usability, documentation, and analytical efficiency
  • Partner with peers and leaders to evolve analytical frameworks over time

Business & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate with Product, Claims, and/or other cross-functional partners to understand business context and decisions needs
  • Support presentations and readouts by translating analyses into clear, decision-ready materials
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests with speed, accuracy, and thoughtful interpretation

Execution & Operational Excellence

  • Deliver accurate, timely analyses and reporting to support business decision-making
  • Manage moderately complex analytical projects addressing ambiguous business questions
  • Balance multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of analytical rigor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or relative quantitative field is preferred
  • 3+ years of full-time relevant work experience in the US
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Tools
  • Knowledge in SQL and Power BI preferred, but not required
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data driven recommendations
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

This position is a hybrid role. It is required to be on-site 3 days per week, at one of the following office locations:

  • Chicago, IL
  • Bethesda, MD


 

Annual Salary

$86,100.00 - $141,450.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
