Full Job Description
Job Description

Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide. The Senior Field Reimbursement Manager - HIV Prevention is a highly specialized, priority account-focused role responsible for supporting access and reimbursement optimization across large, complex health systems, IDNs, and national or regional accounts that span multiple geographies and require additional coordination and access/reimbursement support.

The remote/field-based role supports strategic, multi-location, multi-state, multi-region or national Priority/SWAT accounts. Candidates must reside in or near the assigned geography and be able to travel extensively to engage account stakeholders in person.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strategic business relationships with key account stakeholders across large health systems, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, national/regional accounts, and Priority/SWAT accounts to facilitate patient access to Gilead's HIV Prevention products.
  • Serve as an enterprise-level reimbursement and access expert, using influence mapping to identify executive, pharmacy, billing, implementation, provider, and operational stakeholders across complex organizations.
  • Lead coordinated, cross-regional account strategies that reduce duplication of effort, improve role clarity across local FRMs and matrix partners, and enable consistent customer support across multi-site accounts.
  • Assess systemic access and reimbursement barriers impacting multiple sites, including benefit verification, prior authorization, medical exception, claims, acquisition, specialty pharmacy, and LAI operational workflows.
  • Partner with senior account stakeholders and internal matrix teams to establish, optimize, and support scalable reimbursement processes aligned to the account's operating model.
  • Provide information and support to the internal patient support program team in enhancing HUB and FRM processes, including education on prior authorizations, benefit verification, case management handoffs, and account-specific workflow optimization.
  • Communicate changes in formulary, coverage, payer policy, or reimbursement processes for Gilead products and ensure strategic accounts receive timely education and support on requirements such as prior authorization and medical exception pathways.
  • Create and deploy instructional resources, account implementation plans, and best-practice education that help providers, office staff, billing teams, revenue cycle teams, and implementation stakeholders understand reimbursement processes at scale.
  • Increase appropriate coordination between FRMs, Long-Acting Implementation Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Prevention Specialists, Market Access, the Gilead HUB, Marketing, Patient Support, and other cross-functional partners to improve communication channels and account execution.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the patient journey that hinder initial or ongoing access and use appropriate technology tools, insights, and escalation pathways to respond to high-need account situations.
  • Measure success through education delivery, implementation success, systemic issue/process resolution, improved coordination, and scalable access/reimbursement support across strategic accounts.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrates open-mindedness and flexibility, being aware of cultural similarities and differences without assigning value and adapts support to varying account environments and practices without being overly prescriptive.
  • Patient-Centric Focus: Embodies a collaborative approach wholly dedicated to ensuring patient access and positive outcomes through teamwork, placing patient and team success at the forefront.
