Job Description:

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Facility Manager to lead our Menominee Campus.

Are you a transformational manufacturing leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering results that matter?

As the senior site leader, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of a campus that combinescoupling manufacturing, hose assembly, warehousing, and distribution operations. Leading approximately 500 employees and a team of 10 direct reports across operations, quality, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain, you will set the vision, inspire performance, and drive continuous improvement across every aspect of the business.

This role is responsible for delivering results in Safety, Quality, Velocity, Cost, People Development, and Customer Satisfaction while creating an environment where employees can grow, innovate, and do their best work. You will influence site strategy, champion transformation initiatives, and build a culture defined by accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
  • Lead all aspects of Menominee Campus operations, including coupling manufacturing, hose assembly, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Develop and execute the site's strategic vision and long-term operational plans to support business growth, customer demand, capacity requirements, inventory optimization, and cost competitiveness.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, customer service, employee engagement, and operational performance through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team, strengthening organizational capability, succession planning, talent development, and accountability at every level.
  • Champion a Safety-Driven culture where employees are empowered to identify risks, solve problems, and continuously improve the work environment while maintaining compliance with environmental, labor, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Lead digital transformation, automation, capital investment strategies, and data-driven initiatives that improve productivity, enhance decision-making, increase capacity, and position the facility for future growth.
  • Partner with business unit leaders, customers, suppliers, community stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver business results, manage risk, and ensure operational continuity.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning while promoting Caterpillar's values and commitment to excellence in everything we do.

Manufacturing Operations: Extensive knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, distribution, warehousing, and supply chain operations with a demonstrated ability to optimize performance across complex operations.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies, align operations with organizational goals, and lead large-scale transformation initiatives.

Influencing: Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels and represent the facility with senior leaders, customers, and community stakeholders. Proven ability to lead organizational change, drive transformation, gain stakeholder buy-in, and successfully navigate complex business challenges.

Quality Management: Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and problem-solving methodologies to drive sustainable improvements in safety, quality, velocity, and cost. Commitment to creating a world-class safety culture through proactive risk management, employee involvement, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques. Experience building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams while creating strong succession plans and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience leading complex manufacturing and distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale production, assembly, and warehouse environments.
  • Experience with capital planning and investment execution.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar Production System (CPS), Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent operating systems.
  • Experience leading digital manufacturing and operational technology initiatives.
  • Strong change management and organizational development skills.


Additional Information:

This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at Menominee, Michigan office.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

This position may require up to 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$172,630.00 - $258,950.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
