Your RoleAs a Senior Facilities Engineer, you will own the performance, reliability, and compliance of critical facility systems that power cutting-edge semiconductor research and development. In this role, you will lead the design, operation, and continuous optimization of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, cleanroom, and utility infrastructure, ensuring that every system meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will serve as the technical authority for complex, multi-discipline facility projects, driving them from concept through commissioning while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality Assurance (QA), and process engineering. Your work will directly enable scientific innovation and operational excellence in a high-stakes R&D environment, where your decisions shape both the day-to-day reliability of the facility and its long-term sustainability trajectory.
Who You AreMinimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor facilities or equivalent cleanroom environments.
- Proven ability to lead complex facility projects and manage critical utilities infrastructure.
- Familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality regulations applicable to semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
Preferred Qualifications:- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent licensure.
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including team lead or leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with permit-to-work systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work, and confined space entry procedures.
- Track record of managing multi-discipline projects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls) in cleanroom settings.
- Experience with contractor management, vendor oversight, and financial accountability including budgeting and lifecycle planning.
- Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, asset management systems, and commissioning and qualification processes.
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA or equivalent) and experience with EHS audits and regulatory inspections.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
US Pay Range for this position - $117,600 - $176,400
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
