Full Job Description
The Sr Events Specialist, USCAN Field Marketing, is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, measuring, and reporting on assigned customer-facing field events across the United States and Canada.

This role partners closely with Field Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and external vendors to deliver high-quality customer experiences that align with business priorities, operational standards, and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring strong corporate event planning experience, including venue sourcing, registration site development in Cvent, budget tracking, contract coordination, on-site execution, attendee communications, external speaker management, Transfers of Value reporting, and post-event measurement.

Success in this role requires strong project management, attention to detail, proactive communication, the ability to manage multiple assigned programs simultaneously, and a continuous improvement mindset focused on scalable, efficient event operations.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the marketing business partners and the sales team, plan, coordinate, and execute assigned USCAN Field Marketing events, including a high volume of regional sales events and local vendor shows.


  • Maintain detailed project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure assigned events are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives.


  • Prepare RFPs, source venues, support contract routing, and coordinate hotel, food and beverage, audiovisual, housing, transportation, and ancillary vendor needs for assigned complex marketing events.


  • Build and manage event registration sites, attendee communications, and reporting workflows using Cvent and related event technology platforms.


  • Track event budgets, reconcile final expenses, process invoices, and provide accurate spend reporting to support financial accountability.


  • Collect, manage, and report Transfers of Value for Health Care Providers and ensure adherence to applicable corporate, legal, and government compliance requirements.


  • Manage external speaker logistics and contracting


  • Support post-event measurement, including attendee reporting, stakeholder feedback, lead capture coordination, and recommendations for future process improvements.


Requirements

  • Typically requires 5+ years of corporate event planning experience, including budget tracking, sourcing, contracting, registration, speaker management, audiovisual coordination, and post-event reporting with a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience


  • Demonstrated experience supporting a high volume of customer-facing field marketing events, user group meetings, or life sciences customer programs.


  • Strong working knowledge of Cvent, including sourcing, event website development, email communications, registration management, and reporting.


  • Experience coordinating hotel and vendor contracts, banquet event orders, and on-site logistics.


  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assigned programs, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.


  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed, highly cross-functional business environment.


  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences meetings desired.


  • Experience with Transfers of Value and compliance reporting highly desired.


  • Ability to travel occasionally to support on-site event execution


The estimated base salary range for the Senior Events Specialist, USCAN Field Marketing role based in the United States of America is: $82,500 - $123,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long-term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
