Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks under the supervision of a licensed engineer
  • Design tasks that require technical judgment and selection
  • Produce design drawings and documents using CAD and design software
  • Prepare design calculations and quantifications
  • Create specifications and contract documents
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer
  • Coordinate with various disciplines as necessary
  • Manage the work of Technical Specialists when needed

Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Electrical Technical Specialist, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer
  • Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures
  • Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other design software
  • Preparation of design and quantity calculations
  • Preparation of specifications and contract documents
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer
  • Coordination with other disciplines as necessary
  • When required, coordinate the work of one or more Technical Specialists

  • A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
  • Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
  • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
