Title:
Senior Electrical Mechanical Technician

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Electrical/Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of complex electronic and mechanical systems. This role focuses on high-quality fabrication and system integration within commercial and industrial environments, supporting product development, manufacturing, and testing operations.

The ideal candidate will operate with minimal supervision, execute technically complex tasks, and support full lifecycle hardware activities-from fabrication through integration, validation, and delivery.

Work Environment:
  • Location: On-site R&D Lab, (*No Telework/hybrid arrangements available)
  • Travel Requirements: 5-10%
  • Working Hours: Standard


Basic Compensation:

$98,000 - $125,000 USD annually

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical / Electronics
  • Perform assembly, integration, and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Execute high-quality soldering and cable/harness fabrication
  • Conduct electrical testing including continuity and voltage verification
  • Troubleshoot PCB-level, wiring, and system-level issues
  • Proficient in the use and operation of soldering stations, reflow ovens, and coating equipment
  • Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams

Mechanical / Hardware
  • Fabricate and assemble mechanical components and systems
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and modification of assemblies
  • Support equipment installation and maintenance
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
  • Operate material handling equipment as required
  • Work closely with a small team to execute fast paced, short timeline projects, both individually and as a team.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong electrical/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • IPC J-STD certification or equivalent
  • Experience with conformal coating or finishing processes
  • Forklift or material handling certification
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with Space Flight hardware.
