Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Duration: 6 months

Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week
Responsibilities:
- Lead and own the design, development, and validation of an electrical sub-system
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Translate product requirements into electrical specifications and system architectures
- Design schematics, select components, PCB layout, create validation test plan, and bring-up plans with the firmware team
- Conduct sub-system to system-level debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities (bench testing, environmental, compliance, etc.)
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM), reliability, and cost optimization efforts
- Design for real-world deployment: signal integrity, power delivery, EMI/EMC, ESD, thermal management, vibration, environmental hardening, manufacturability, and serviceability
- Participate in supplier/vendor selection and technical evaluations as needed
- Ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and maintained throughout development cycles
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on hardware experience with demonstrated system ownership and technical leadership
- A hands-on senior electrical engineer that has owned a PCBA and shipped hardware
- Broad experience across analog and digital design, power systems, and embedded interfaces (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, LVDS, and PCIe)
- PCB design, schematic capture, and layout (Altium preferred)
- Proven ability to work across disciplines and communicate effectively with diverse teams
- Work with ambiguous requirements, prototype solution/s, and present tradeoffs
- Comfortable with basic lab equipment
- Working in a startup environment with ambiguity in requirements
- Comfortable with ARM processors and microcontrollers
- EMI mitigation, signal integrity, and power system design
- Integrating RF and sensors
- Has worked in large complex system
- Can see a larger system and understand integration challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- Robotics, mobile platforms, or autonomous systems experience
- Sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, IMU)
- Embedded firmware experience (C/C++, bare-metal or RTOS)
- High-reliability or functional safety design experience (ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range is $75/hr to $85/hr.
